Meet the team
Behind every clean and welcoming space at Whale Walk Apartment are three exceptional women: Angelique, Miela, and Mandie.
Angelique, manages a selection of thoughtfully curated apartments in the heart of Hermanus, ensuring each one is cared for with warmth, intention, and careful attention to detail. She has a passion for creating spaces where guests feel completely at ease and can truly experience the unique charm of Hermanus. More than just managing the apartments, Angelique is dedicated to making every stay smooth and memorable. She offers recommendations for local restaurants and assists with booking experiences in the area. For Angelique, hospitality is deeply personal—she treats every guest as though they are a friend visiting her own home.
Miela and Mandie, are cousins who both grew up in the Hermanus suburb of Mount Pleasant. Together, they are proud mothers to seven children and bring remarkable dedication to their work. Their commitment shines through in everything they do, as they pour their hearts into maintaining the apartments and ensuring a wonderful environment for guests.
Mandie is known for bringing laughter and light to each day, always smiling and singing, creating a joyful atmosphere for both guests and the team. Miela, on the other hand, keeps everything organised and running smoothly, ensuring that all tasks are efficiently managed. Together, Miela and Mandie make a truly beautiful team whose combined efforts are invaluable to the guest experience.
Community involvement
On weekends, Miela and Mandie extend their generosity to the community by giving teenage mothers the opportunity to learn and assist with their workload. This gentle sharing of skills and support helps build confidence and offers meaningful encouragement to young women in their circle.
We feel incredibly grateful to have Angelique, Miela, and Mandie by our side. These wonderful ladies are truly the heartbeat of our hospitality at Whale Walk Apartment.
